Planned events
1. Thursday March 12th kick-off. This is the day the layoff notices go out. We will meet at the school across the street from the school district on Franklin (727 Goldengate Ave.). Starting at 4 PM we will walk to city hall to assemble and protest. The message is " Mayor Newsom, Release all of the rainy day fund to save our teachers jobs". Children encouraged. Bring umbrellas.
2. Monday March 16, Parents appear at their local schools at drop off and pick up with umbrellas and signs. Parents are requested to have digital pictures taken of them and their children in front of signs for the school. Pictures are then sent in and posted on Rachel Norton’s web site.
3.Tuesday March 17- The Keeping of the Green- Parents will appear at the Board of Supervisors meeting and request in a visual fashion for board support of the full allocation of the Rainy Day Fund.
