Boots Whitmer read the San Francisco Chronicle story by Jill Tucker about the President of the San Francisco Unified School District School Board using a school district credit card for her personal expenses. Boots was incensed but did nothing. After 10 days Boots issued a statement on the SFSchools Yahoo listserv, a popular site devoted to issues in San Francisco schools. In this statement she called for the board president, Kim-Shree Maufas to resign. I got together with Boots and she filled me in as to why she feels the only solution is for the board president to resign. Boots on fire.
